Executive Learning Series
The CEO Learning Center is developing a series of books to explore the ideas and practices that stimulate learning in a leadership context, and to identify how the experience of leadership contributes to continuous learning.
Volume 1: Outdoor Experiential Exercises
The first volume focuses on Outdoor Experiential Exercises. Of the many approaches used to develop leadership, we have found that experiential exercises are one of the mainstays of meaningful and lasting behavioral learning. They create a space for exploring the complexity of individual, interpersonal and group behavior.
Through a series of interviews, the CEO Learning Center is studying the impact of CEO learning on outcomes. It is exploring how CEO learning is triggered by dissonant or uncomfortable experiences, how CEO learning may be limited by specific facets of the role, and how CEO learning is enabled.
