The International Institute for Management Development (IMD) has five faculty in The Case Centre’s list of Top 50 Bestselling Case Authors list for 2022/23.

Those featured include Professor Emeritus of Marketing and Global Strategy Kamran Kashani (eighth), Professor Emeritus of Strategy Peter Killing (27th), Professor of Marketing and Strategy Frédéric Dalsace (36th), Professor Emeritus of Marketing Strategy Dominique Turpin (41st), and Professor of Strategy and Marketing Stefan Michel (45th).

Kashani and Killing have been recognized in this list in previous years, while this is Dalsace’s first time in the top 50.

Among Kashani’s best-selling cases is Innovation and Renovation: The Nespresso Story, revised in 2022. This case examines the evolution of the Nespresso system in a 100%-owned affiliate intentionally placed outside of Nestle’s main organization.

Killing is renowned for his three-part case series centered on Nestlé’s Globe Program, providing an in-depth analysis of Chris Johnson’s leadership role in managing the most extensive SAP rollout ever witnessed in the global food industry.

Dalsace’s case on Michelin Fleet Solutions investigates the conditions under which XaaS business models work and highlights their advantages in terms of sustainability. “Michelin has been a trailblazer selling kilometers, not tires, to the transportation industry ,” said Dalsace. “I am thrilled to see that it has become a bestseller.”

Turpin and Kashani co-wrote Reinventing Nespresso? The Challenges of a Market Leader Under Attack, which explores the tough strategic decisions that Nespresso had to make to remain successful. This case was part of the TCC’s bestselling cases list in 2021 and 2022.

Finally, one of Michel’s notable achievements is his case Sonova: Hearing a Sound Digital Strategy?, which discusses the challenges facing Sonova in the dynamic landscape of multiple product and channel brands and explores how the company should strategically react to the fast-moving competitive environment.

The Case Centre (TCC) hosts the world’s largest and most diverse collection of management cases, articles, book chapters, and teaching materials, making it the premier go-to resource for business students. For more than 50 years, IMD’s faculty have written case studies that have proven to be a timeless tool for developing the leadership skills and capabilities of executives and students.
