Vanina Farber honored as AACSB Influential Leader

IMD Professor Vanina Farber was recognized among AACSB’s 2024 Class of Influential Leaders

We are delighted to share that elea Professor of Social Innovation and Dean of the IMD EMBA program Vanina Farber has been selected for the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)’s 2024 Class of Influential Leaders.

Farber is highlighted for advancing new knowledge and creating an impact in business and society through her research.

“Receiving this recognition fills me with immense pride and gratitude. It validates my passion for and dedication to research that informs and is informed by practice, bridging gaps between academia and practitioners,” she shares. “Yet, it’s more than a personal milestone—it’s a celebration of our collective mission at IMD to integrate relevant research, cutting-edge pedagogy, teaching, and innovation for real-world impact.”

Farber specializes in mobilizing private capital for impactful investments and promoting social innovation. Her research focuses on practical, sustainable market-driven solutions to address societal challenges, with a gender lens applied throughout.

“This is also a testament to IMD’s success in nurturing a culture where innovation and practical impact are at the heart of everything we do,” she added.

AACSB’s annual Influential Leaders initiative recognizes outstanding alumni and faculty researchers from AACSB-accredited business schools creating lasting impact in society.
