Josefine van Zanten is a multinational and multilingual Executive in Human Resources. She speaks and works fluently in five languages (English, French, Dutch, German) and holds both Swiss and Dutch nationalities. She grew up in Switzerland and was schooled in both Switzerland and the US. Her career has taken her to Fortune 500 organizations in various industries: IT- HP, Energy - RDS (Royal Dutch Shell), Life Sciences - DSM, and Construction - LafargeHolcim. Her responsibilities included designing impactful strategies and overseeing their successful implementation in: Leadership & Organization Development, Culture Change (Transformation), and Diversity & Inclusion.

In her leadership roles, she favored business-based approaches which delivered tangible and measurable results. A strong believer in continuous improvement, she enjoys leading and developing global teams, and is a role model for inclusive, virtual team management. Ms. van Zanten is an extensive speaker in both academic and business venues and has worked with Ivy League Universities to co-deliver courses and contribute to academic articles. She is a member of the European AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) Advisory Board, the Maastricht University - School of Business and Economics’ International Advisory Board (IAB), as well as a member of the EEAC (Executive Education Advisory Council) at IMD.

Currently Josefine is an Executive in Residence at IMD, in Lausanne, Switzerland.
