Experience & Background

Stuart Dean has had a long track record of leadership roles at General Electric throughout ASEAN since 1991. He is deeply familiar with market entry strategy, government relations, and business culture in the region.

Some of his previous roles have included: Independent Non-Executive Director – AirAsia Group Berhad, Independent Director – Asian American Medical Group, Independent Non-Executive; Director – Malaysian Investment Development Authority, Member, Board of Directors – Orbis International Singapore, Chief Executive Officer, ASEAN – GE Global Growth and Operations, President – GE Indonesia, President – GE Capital, Southeast Asia, Business Development Manager – GE International.

Dean is also a highly respected and recognized business mentor with an interest in leadership development. Dean is an active volunteer and leader in humanitarian efforts. After graduating magna cum laude from Duke University in 1975 and a two-year assignment with the US Government, he obtained an MBA from Harvard in 1979.
