Achim Plückebaum is an Executive-in-Residence at IMD, where he is actively engaged in research and executive education on digital transformation, AI, and technology leadership. His work at IMD focuses on helping boards and senior executives navigate the strategic, organizational, and governance implications of AI and data-driven business models.
With over 25 years of global technology leadership experience in the life sciences industry, Achim combines a successful career as CIO and digital business leader. He regularly advises boards and executive teams on scaling AI, data, and technology capabilities to drive sustainable growth and enterprise value.
Achim holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Stevens Institute of Technology (USA) and an MBA from the University of Giessen (Germany) and Napier University, Edinburgh (UK).
