Annika Falkengren joined Lombard Odier Group on August 1st, 2017 as Managing
Partner. Based in Geneva, she is responsible for the finance and corporate tax unit
at group level.
Annika Falkengren has more than 30 years of banking and financial services
experience and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and
Economics from Stockholm University.
Prior to joining Lombard Odier, Annika was President and Chief Executive Officer
(CEO) of Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB), a leading Nordic financial services
group. She joined SEB as a trainee in 1987 and rose up through the bank, holding
numerous positions before becoming CEO in 2005, including Head of Global
Trading & Capital Markets, Head of Merchant Banking, and Deputy Group Chief
Executive.
She was named European Banker of the Year by the Group 20+1 for 2012. She was
awarded the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce 2014 Lucia Trade Award
for fostering free trade. In 2016, she was n.9 on Fortune magazine’s list of the
world’s most powerful international women.
Annika Falkengren has previously served as chair of the Swedish Bankers’
Association, and a board member of Scania AB, FAM AB and not-for-profit
organisation Mentor Sweden.
She is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of Volkswagen AG.
