New-animal.com: Merging three e-marketplaces
This case explores the target market, core proposition, ancillary services, industrial and competitive environment, financial structure and investors and business model of three industrial e-marketplaces established in Europe in the late 1990’s. The three companies and the CEOs are disguised for confidentiality reasons. The case also overviews online European B2B trade and its projected development to 2005. The case allows participants to discuss the viability of each of the business models and then raises the question should the three e-marketplaces merge.
