Jon M. Jachimowicz is Assistant Professor of Business Administration in the Organizational Behavior Unit at Harvard Business School, where he teaches Leadership and Organizational Behavior (LEAD). His research focuses on the experience and impact of passion, revealing that it is often misunderstood. Contrary to popular belief, pursuing passion is challenging and requires proactive effort. His work shows that passion fluctuates and sustaining it is a significant challenge.
Jon received his Ph.D. from Columbia Business School, an M.Phil. from the University of Cambridge, and an undergraduate degree from the University of St Andrews. He has been recognized as a Rising Star by the Association for Psychological Science, a Poets & Quants 40 Under 40 honoree, a Forbes 30 Under 30, and is on the Thinkers50 Radar List. His research has appeared in top journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Nature, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
