The case demonstrates the potential companies have to drive innovation in order to reach ambitious CO2 reduction targets. It documents Johnson & Johnson’s efforts under WWF International’s Climate Savers initiative. Climate Savers is a platform to transform business and industry into pioneers on climate and energy solutions. The case documents Johnson & Johnson’s capital relief funding for CO2 reduction projects, which has attracted the interest of managers in many companies within different industries. The funding scheme has successfully contributed to the reduction of Johnson & Johnson’s corporate CO2 emissions by eliminating budgeting barriers and allowing 80 climate friendly energy projects to take off in less than five years.
