Proven ability to perform

We are convinced that showcasing our participants and their work to a broader senior executive community, outside the regular recruiting calendar, will increase career opportunities as well as the rigor and relevance of our program.

Navigating the Future (NTF) conference

Focus on adjustments in business models, changing regional agendas and pressing global challenges. During the conference, issues covered in 2017 included, among others, achieving sustainable energy, debating the limits to automation, national adjustments to the resource curse, populism in the Americas, challenges to Middle Eastern economies and democracies, ensuring education when governments and markets do not deliver. What are the risks and opportunities arising for business and what is its role in shaping future agendas?

  • Over 100 executives from different industries around the world, as well as seasoned IMD alumni and local business people, attend the two-day conference at IMD
  • Host morning executive briefings to present your findings again during IMD's flagship OWP program, which typically attracts over 400 executives
  • Address local alumni networks and company representatives when you take the Navigating the Future conference to London, Munich, and Zurich.

Discovery Expeditions

Continue to discover the issues and trends underlying economic and societal developments that will shape industries and markets in a region where you may be considering a career. 2017 destinations offered a choice of Dubai and Singapore, China, and Japan, or Mexico and USA. A typical ten-day trip includes:

  • discussions with academics and society leaders regarding politics, society, economics & business issues
  • company visits & cultural events
  • participant research activity related to sectors, businesses & stakeholder issues
