Professor Yu’s research focuses on innovation, disruptive innovation and why and how companies go about producing it.

Shortlisted by Thinkers50 for the Innovation Distinguished Achievement Award and named by Poets and Quants one of the “Best 40 under 40” professors, Howard is a regular contributor to Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, Forbes and The New York Times.

This online program is based on Howard’s multi-award winning book LEAP: How to Thrive in a World Where Everything Can Be Copied.

Among the many industries that Professor Yu has investigated – ranging from healthcare, automobile and heavy machinery to fast-moving consumer goods – he has also traced the evolution of the global PC industry, including the top three motherboard makers and laptop manufacturers worldwide. The resultant paper, titled “Leopards sometimes change their spots: How established firms can transform themselves,” won the prestigious best paper award at the Israel Strategy Conference.
