Let’s go seize tomorrow’s opportunities!

Orchestrating Winning Performance Lausanne 2019 closes on a high note
June 2019
 - IMD Business School

The theme of this year’s OWP was ‘Seize Tomorrow’s Opportunities’. But after learning from so many inspiring executives, experts and faculty, it could have also been ‘Doing well by doing good’.

The week kicked off by learning how to live a better life and ended with how businesses can save the world. This represents a seismic shift in business thinking from just a short time ago.

The stakes are high and so much remains to be done, but after this week’s jam-packed and thought-provoking learning journey, one can’t help but think we are starting to be on the right track.

OWP was about thinking big, but not just, there was also so much practical expertise on offer that the leaders attended this week’s numerous sessions will have plenty to start putting into place back in the office on Monday.

Ideas such as – the amazing range of tasks AI can already carry out, the immenent dangers of cybersecurity, how design thinking can help companies reach another level – go beyond the buzz at OWP.

Inspired, energized, optimistic, engaged – these are just some of the feelings expressed by the 400 international executives representing 50+ nationalities, 30+ industries as they leave IMD’s Lausanne campus with food for thought.

Thanks to all the participants, faculty, experts and team, this was one of the most thought-provoking and inspiring OWP’s yet!
