Description |
IMD Business Forum Today 23% of the global workforce is independent. IMD professor Arutor Bris explains how this number is likely to go up, how this impacts work & pay and how the independent worker manages a portfolio of income streams. Independent workers invoice clients but do not have employment contracts. Arturo Bris' new book 'Flex or Fail' explores how this number is likely to double in the next 10 years, what impact this will have on work & pay, and how all of us will need to adapt to a new way of working. Arturo will go through the economics of labour markets and competitiveness and he will address the issues of individuals who face significant change in their lives. The lecture will try to answer how they may manage their situation most effectively in a rapidly evolving work environment. A roadmap / blueprint from where we are today in terms of work & pay to a series of evolving disruptors that will impact all generations, will be described This event is for those who are starting their work and those who are changing it.
