Description |
Innovation by start-ups is booming, and corporations increasingly innovate by acquiring them. This represents both an opportunity for early-stage investors and a strategic trend that strongly affects the corporate world. First introduced in 2015, IMD Alumni Community for Entrepreneurship (IMD ACE) has conducted several online (virtual) events in 2016, followed by already eight on-campus start-up investment events at IMD, in Lausanne in 2016-2017. We are now extending this offer to the Zurich alumni. The topic is on how to invest in start-ups and will also enable you to connect with start-ups and/or investors. We are working with Go Beyond Investing, a startup investing platform with a strong presence in Switzerland and a strong performance track record in startup investments. The Online IMD ACE community is vibrant and well complements face-to-face events. On the community you can access the recordings the previous events and take part in discussions around entrepreneurship and innovation. Event Description: The event will start with an introduction to startup investing - how it works, best practices and what you can expect of it. Two great start-ups will then present their businesses and pitch for investment. Following the presentations and pitches, you will be able discuss the opportunities and participate in a debrief with experienced investors. Detailed Agenda:
Participants of this event will be subject to a short and simple NDA. |
