Hanne de Mora served with exceptional dedication on IMD’s Foundation and Supervisory Boards from 2016 until her passing in June 2025. Hanne was a visionary leader who was passionate about mentoring and supporting the next generation of leaders, particularly women leaders, and strengthening the performance of boards. IMD has chosen to celebrate Hanne’s life and to honor her memory through the creation of the Hanne de Mora Board Excellence Award.

The first recipient of the Hanne de Mora Board Excellence Award will be announced at the Board Director Diploma Graduation Ceremony on 5 December 2025.
