For the third consecutive year, IMD has secured fourth place in The Case Centre Impact Index for 2024/2025 among 50 top schools. This annual ranking evaluates the global reach and impact of organizations’ case writing.

By capturing these and turning them into engaging case studies, we have an impact far beyond our campus,” shares IMD President David Bach. “Being ranked #4 in The Case Centre Impact Index 2025 is a testament to the value of our distinctive approach to management education.”
Launched in 2023, the Impact Index expands The Case Centre’s portfolio of recognitions. Compiled using data from the previous academic year, the index measures case adoption across institutions worldwide by tracking the number of cases adopted, the organizations and countries involved, and the students taught using these cases.
“It’s terrific to highlight the global impact of cases for a third year, with so many incredible contributions to business management education,” says Vicky Lester, Chief Executive Officer of The Case Centre. “Cases are receiving increasing recognition for their impact on student experience, learning outcomes, accreditation, and wider society. For over 50 years, the IMD faculty has shaped management education through its contributions to The Case Centre. In 2024, IMD sold over 230,000 cases globally.
