Detailed schedule and program duration

The PED program takes place in two phases:

Stage 1: Foundations for Business Leadership (FBL): 20 consecutive days on campus

Stage 2: Transition to Business Leadership (TBL): 2 separate two-week module on campus, spread over approximately two months

The flexible timetable means you can choose the best schedule to fit your needs. Programs must be followed in sequence.

FBL 1: February 1 – 20, 2026

FBL 2: April 26 – May 15, 2026

FBL 3: August 23 – Septmber 11, 2026

FBL 4: November 8 – 27, 2026

Choose from the following sets of dates:

TBL 1:

Module 1: April 20 – May 1, 2026

Module 2: June 8 – 19, 2026

TBL 2:

Module 1: August 17 – 28, 2026

Module 2: October 26 – November 6, 2026

TBL 3:

Module 1: September 28 – October 9, 2026

Module 2: November 16 – 27, 2026

How to apply to an IMD Open Program

We review applications on a rolling basis, and places are limited – we encourage you to apply early to secure your spot. When reviewing applications, we look closely at your professional experience, leadership responsibilities, and overall fit for the program.

Choose your session and fill in:
1. Personal and contact details
2. Professional experience and current role
3. Education
4. Learning objectives and key challenges (not required for OWP program)
5. Invoice information
Confirm your availability and accept our terms & conditions.

Your application is reviewed to ensure the program matches your goals and profile. This process usually takes around one week.

You might be contacted for a short call (depending on the program).

Once approved, you receive an email with:
1. Enrollment confirmation
2. Invoice and payment details

Payment is due within 30 days of invoice or before the program starts (whichever comes first).

Up to six weeks before the program starts, you gain access to the learning portal, where you can start diving into pre-work, explore program content, and in some cases connect with your class. A dedicated Program Coordinator will contact you with practical details, such as pre-program preparation and hotel information (for on-campus programs).
