In June 2025, the company partnered with Capgemini to open an India-based Global Capability Center to build in-house expertise in AI, data, and cybersecurity.
Strategic partnerships and investments have been made across its subsidiaries, including STAR Union Dai-ichi Life (India), launching IBM watsonx®-powered investment offerings, and TAL (Australia) deploying a generative AI chatbot to accelerate claims processing. Internally, Dai-ichi Life is training staff in digital skills – assigning 900 employees as “DX promoters” to drive AI and data use, reflecting a focus on people development.
