Women leading in the age of AI

Caroline Creven Fourrier, PhD, is a senior executive and board advisor with over 20 years of international experience across healthcare and life sciences. She has held global leadership roles at Roche, Novartis, and Syngenta, spanning transformation, governance, and value creation at enterprise level. A business-first people leader, Caroline advises boards and executive teams on leadership, succession, AI-enabled organizational resilience, and cultural performance. She is a frequent keynote speaker, guest lecturer at leading universities, and an IMD alumna. 

Raquel Roses holds a PhD in Information Management, is an independent consultant, and Co-Founder and CTO at KnowThee SA, where she develops AI-based technology to support data-informed leadership and talent decisions. She is also the author of The Visual Guide to AI — A Journey for Curious Minds of All Ages, to be published in Spanish this year, which aims to make the understanding of AI more accessible to a broad audience. At the core of her work is bridging the gap between data and decision-making, helping organizations turn complex and imperfect data into meaningful insights. 

Su-Mei Thompson is CEO at Media Trust, a non-profit organization based in London that works with media industry partners to give charities, under-represented communities, and young people a stronger voice.  She started her career as a corporate finance lawyer before assuming senior management roles with the Financial Times, Disney and Christie’s. Her career in the non-profit sector began in 2007 in Hong Kong. Under her leadership, The Women’s Foundation emerged as a leading NGO, known for its innovative and impactful community and mentoring programmes. Su-Mei also founded the 30% Club’s Hong Kong chapter to advocate for more women on boards and TWF’s Male Allies HeForShe network. Su-Mei co-produced the award-winning documentary “She Objects” and was invited to speak about the media’s representation of women at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016.  She joined Media Trust in 2017 and has spear-headed Media Trust’s initiatives to reframe disability in the media,  enhance the digital and social media skills of UK charities in partnership with Google, Meta and TikTok, and provide free AI essentials training for charities.  Alongside her role with Media Trust, she serves on the Supervisory Board of IMD and is co-chair of the Editorial Advisory Board of I by IMD. She is also a trustee of the Orwell Foundation, Opera Holland Park and Paulina Foundation.  A law graduate of Cambridge and Oxford, she was the first woman to make the Dean’s List for IMD’s MBA program and was recently named by IMD as one of its 50 MBA Laureates. She was also recognized by Charity Times on International Women’s Day 2022 as one of 15 women leaders making a difference and inspiring other leaders in the charity sector.
