We are thrilled to share that the AI-generated Transversal Skills Report initiative for IMD’s MBA Program has won gold in the Learning Assessment category at the QS Reimagine Education Awards.
As part of the redesigned MBA launched in early 2025, IMD introduced AI-generated reports that track progress and provide personalized feedback to students.
The award recognizes IMD’s commitment to shaping the future of management education and advancing innovative learning journeys. The submission was selected by a panel of 800+ international expert judges from more than 1,600 entries across 18 categories.
“What is unique about this project is that we are leveraging AI to help us strengthen those skills which make us intrinsically human, the ability to think critically and strategically, and the ability to effectively communicate our ideas,” said MBA Program Dean Omar Toulan. “At the same time, what has worked so well is the combination of AI-generated feedback with personal one-on-one review meetings, showing how AI can, in fact, enhance rather than replace human interaction.” By focusing on developing 10 transversal skills deemed essential for leading in today’s AI-transformed world, the program has redefined MBA education for an AI-driven era.
“I’m excited to see how IMD pioneered AI as a sparring partner and used it to provide feedback in a creative way, enabling growth and introspection,” said Zareen Cheema (MBA 2025).
The annual Reimagine Education Awards honor pioneering pedagogical approaches that enhance learning outcomes and employability for future learners worldwide, with a focus on sustainability.
The 2025 winners were announced during the QS Reimagine Education Awards Conference in London on 1–3 December.
This recognition follows the Graduate Business Curriculum Roundtable award received in October.
Last year, IMD’s interactive learning tool SpheriCO2 received gold in the Immersive Experiential Learning category.
