IMD business school for management and leadership courses
Lowe’s senior leadership has elevated AI to a core strategic pillar under its Total Home Strategy, identifying shopping, selling, and working as the three key areas where AI can deliver high value. Lowe’s launched Mylow™, a virtual advisor for customers seeking real-time home improvement guidance, and in May 2025 rolled out Mylow Companion™, an AI assistant for store associates across its 1,700+ US stores, giving them quicker access to product specs, project advice, and inventory status.
Operationally, Lowe’s uses AI for merchandising, forecasting, inventory optimization, spatial intelligence, and partner-hardware upgrades. For example, in partnership with Dell and NVIDIA, Lowe’s is upgrading store infrastructure, using AI to improve inventory forecasting, checkout processes, customer support, and asset protection. On workforce upskilling, Lowe’s has rolled out tailored training programs with partners including OpenAI and Google, from the C-suite to store associates, to build AI fluency.
