Leading family enterprise platform Family Capital has named Professor of Family Business and Entrepreneurship Peter Vogel and Lise Møller, Director of Family Business Engagement, among the top 100 influencers in the sector.

Family Capital cited nominations describing Vogel, also the Debiopharm Chair for Family Philanthropy and the Director of IMD’s Global Family Business Center, as offering “unique insights” as one of the “new wave of family business professors taking hold at the best business schools around the world.”

“I feel very honored and privileged to be featured among the Family Capital Top 100 Family Influencers in the world as one of 13 academics,” Vogel said.

“The IMD Global Family Business Center has a long tradition in helping enterprising families ensure family unity, continued business success and to have a positive impact on society.”

“We have grand and ambitious plans to be a knowledge partner as well as a trusted advisor and challenger to enterprising families as well as board members and executives in family businesses and family offices,” he explained.

Møller, who has also worked at Family Business Network International, was cited as having an “excellent reputation” as “one of Europe’s best known family business engagement specialists” who works tirelessly behind the scenes.

“I joined the field in 2003 and I feel a great sense of accomplishment and honor to be part of the Family Capital Top 100 Family Influencers,” Møller said.

“We have all come a long way since then and there is still plenty of work to be done. At IMD, we challenge what is and inspire what could be – this also counts for family businesses.”

The Family 100 influencers list is created from a survey of Family Capital readers and pays tribute to the leading changemakers in the family enterprise world.

IMD was the first business school to offer executive education to business-owning families, pioneering its “Leading the Family Business” (LFB) open program in 1988, and continues to lead the way in the field.

Vogel delivers today’s edition of LFB as well as IMD’s popular “Leading the Family Office” open program. He is currently working on a new book – the Family Philanthropy Navigator – with Etienne Eichenberger, Managing Partner at WISE philanthropy advisors, and IMD Research Fellow Malgorzata Kurak.
