IMD has once again secured its place among the top European business schools, placing #2 overall in Bloomberg Businessweek’s 2025-2026 ranking of schools in Europe and the Middle East.
This year, IMD made strong improvements across three key indexes, rising to #1 in Learning Experience and Entrepreneurship, while also climbing to #2 in Networking.
Since 2018, IMD has consistently remained in Bloomberg’s top three, finishing #1 three times, #2 once, and #3 once—the best five-year average performance of any European school.
“The 2025 ranking reflects IMD’s ongoing investments in program redesign and its growing emphasis on entrepreneurship, exemplified by the IMD Venture Award. The improvement in Networking also demonstrates the strength and dedication of IMD’s small but powerful alumni community,” said Professor of Strategy and International Management, MBA Dean, and Hilti Chair Omar Toulan.

For this year’s ranking, Bloomberg surveyed MBA participants from the classes of 2018 and 2024. The class of 2018 brought together 90 participants including 43 nationalities and women comprised 29% of the total. They represented diverse professional sectors such as manufacturing, consulting, service industries, and financial services. The Class of 2024 included 102 participants, 48 nationalities and women represented 37% of the total. There was strong representation from the financial services, consulting, and manufacturing industries.
