December 2017

For the fourth year in a row, the Fondation Vaudoise pour la Formation Bancaire (FVFB) and the Association Vaudoise des Banques (AVB) have come together with IMD to offer a prestigious, merit-based award to an outstanding MBA participant.

The 2017 prize has been awarded to Yik Long Lee, who before joining IMD was Vice-President, Equities Derivatives Sales and Marketing at Credit Suisse in Hong Kong and holds a degree in economics and finance from the University of Hong Kong.

The prize of CHF 10,000 is awarded based on the recipient’s contribution in the classroom, openness of attitude, capacity for overcoming obstacles, contribution to teamwork and development over the year.

Each year the award is given to an IMD MBA candidate who comes from outside Western Europe or North America.

“Thanks to Professor Ralf Boscheck and the MBA program, I want to make a bigger impact on society, therefore I will donate this 10,000 francs to charity,” said Yik Long Lee.

Yik Long Lee is described by his colleagues as “a team player who is always willing to help others,” said Dominique Fasel, head of private banking at Pictet Bank’s Lausanne branch, and FVFB President.

IMD warmly congratulates Yik Long Lee and is grateful to the generosity of the Fondation Vaudoise pour la Formation Bancaire (FVFB) and the Association Vaudoise des Banques (AVB).
