IMD Scholarships

We aim to encourage high acheivers from around the globe who don’t necessarily have the financial means to apply, but do have the potential, drive and passion that we are looking for. If you have the desire and ability to join the best group of 90, we want to help you.  

IMD's committment to diversity is reflected through our merit and need-based MBA scholarships, of which 32% were awarded to women participants.

For all scholarship applications (except the merit and CO-RO scholarships) you will need to submit our MBA Financial Aid form with the following supporting documents: yearly proof of salary, tax return form, latest bank account statements.

Submit a 500-word motivation essay on: "Why should I be considered for this scholarship and how can I contribute to IMD's MBA Program?"

Stewart Hamilton Scholarship for womenCHF 50KCriteria: be a female citizen of a developing country with a strong overall application. Reflect upon the case study 'Hollinger and the Downfall of Conrad Black' .
Submit a 750-word essay on: What, in your view, were the failings in the Hollinger corporate governance system? What personal learnings have you drawn from your analysis of the case study?
Staton ScholarshipCHF 50KCriteria: be a citizen from South America (except Brazil) and return for at least three years after graduation.
Submit a 750-word essay on: "The role of entrepreneurs in moving my country forward and my contribution to that goal"
Nestlé Scholarship for WomenCHF 25K Preference is given to women from developing countries. 
Submit a 750-word essay on: "Many have argued that greater diversity in the top management team of an organization is good for profits and customers. What would you recommend as ways to achieve greater diversity?" 
Employees of Nestlé or its subsidiaries are not eligible.
Diversity ScholarshipsCHF 30K

Criteria: be a national of one of the following five regions: Africa/Middle East, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, North America/Western Europe/Oceania.
Submit a 500 word essay on: "The role diversity and globalisation will play in my future career"
(50% of total tuition)

When writing your scholarship essay, be sure to use the IMD MBA Scholarship Template, to respect the word limit and to express your personal point of view in your own words, supported by proper citation if necessary.

Scholarships are granted subject to nomination by the scholarship selection committee, acceptance into the program and confirmation of your intention to participate in the program by paying the advance deposit.

IMD reserves the right not to award a scholarship if the criteria are not met to the satisfaction of the jury/sponsors.
