AXA’s strategy is to accelerate generative AI innovations to enhance customer experience and its own operational efficiency. In July 2024, it appointed a Group Chief Data, AI & Innovation Officer, alongside similar roles in regional markets. AXA introduced AI-enabled offerings, including an AWS-powered B2B risk-monitoring platform to help its clients monitor assets and navigate risks associated with natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, and cyber threats. These efforts have delivered impact, with around 400 AI use cases in production improving pricing, claims, and underwriting efficiency.
Simultaneously, AXA embedded Responsible AI principles emphasizing safety, fairness, and transparency, established governance bodies, and scaled internal expertise through its Data & AI Academy.
