Susan is Affiliate Professor of Leadership and Organizational Change at IMD. A former Olympic finalist, Susan has 23 years of corporate experience in large multinationals, including Hitachi, Digital Equipment Corporation and Tetra Pak, where she held senior management positions. She has worked extensively in the fields of change, communication, diversity, leadership development for teams and individuals, and executive coaching. Her current research is focusing on the role of hope as a catalyst for change.
She has also run her own successful business in leadership development, executive coaching and change communications for more than a decade.

Susan is co-author of two award-winning books: Care to Dare, Unleashing Astonishing Potential through Secure Base Leadership and Choosing Change, How Leaders and Organizations Drive Results One Person at a Time. She is passionate about working with people to turn knowledge into behavior.
With a first degree in organizational psychology and communications, Susan has a Masters in Consulting and Coaching for Change and an Executive Masters in the Neuroscience of Leadership. She is currently working on her doctorate in organizational change. She is also a highly qualified executive coach.
