IMD President and Nestlé Professor of Strategy and Organization David Bach has been named one of the Top 100 Leaders Driving Progress in Suisse romande by Le Temps. The annual list celebrates influential leaders who have made significant contributions to the economic, social, and innovative development of the region.
“I am honored to be recognized among the leaders contributing to the future of Suisse romande. In a world of increasing complexity and uncertainty, I believe our responsibility is to equip leaders with the knowledge, perspectives, and tools they need to navigate change and create lasting impact,” Bach said. “This is a mission I am proud to advance through my role at IMD.”
Bach joined IMD in 2020 and has served as President since September 2024. As President, he is focused on broadening and deepening IMD’s global impact with the bold vision of making IMD the world’s most impactful business school.
His leadership builds on IMD’s distinctive position as a vibrant meeting place where management practice and academic expertise converge. This approach has continued to earn international recognition, reinforcing IMD’s position among the world’s leading business schools and reflecting the quality and innovation of its pedagogy and executive programs.
Bach was also named the 2026 International Educator of the Year by the Academy of International Business for his exceptional leadership and lasting contributions to global management education.
The 22nd edition of Le Temps’ Forum des 100 will take place on 27 October 2026 at the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne, bringing together this year’s selected leaders. The event will gather decision-makers, entrepreneurs, public officials, scientists, and prominent cultural figures to explore the central theme: Is Switzerland still a safe country?
