The IMD Luxury Lab is a turnkey workshop designed to deliver practical solutions through engaging, lively and multi-faceted learning formats.

The combination of latest research, a review of next practices, real-life examples and new business cases provides a fertile ground for peer-to-peer conversations about gaining and maintaining relevance, of doing the right thing while keeping your brand promise.

Day One of the 5th Reinventing Luxury Lab focuses on aligning an environmentally and socially responsible strategy with a clear brand purpose. Participants will also deep dive into the ‘how to’ of a sustainability transformation, applying creative, strategic, operational and financial lenses in the process.

Day Two kicks off with a focus on another key aspect of sustainability: strategic agility with a focus on the renewal of business models. Day 2 concludes with the Leadership Lab where participants learn to be and communicate as authentic leaders.

Stéphane JG Girod - Professor of Strategy and Organizational Innovation

Stéphane J.G. Girod is Professor of Strategy and Organizational Innovation at IMD. His research, teaching and consulting interests focus on agility transformation, at the strategy, organizational and leadership levels in response to digital, globalization and other forms of disruption.

He is Program Director of Reinventing Luxury Lab and Program Co-Director of Digital Execution. He also directs the Mazda, Telenor and Midea programs and EMBA Discovery Expeditions in China. Professor Girod's sectoral expertise is in Luxury Goods and Services, Retail, Banking, Automobile and Consumer Goods.

His thought leadership has been covered by the popular press and media, including Forbes, China Daily, The Economist Intelligence Unit, Womens' Wear Daily, BBC News, Télévision Suisse Romande, Valor Economico, La Vanguardia, Tribune de Genève, Luxury Society, HandelZeitung and The Times.

Federico Capeci

Federico Capeci is the General Manager at Kantar Insights Division, the leading Data Management Group of Bain Capital and WPP, for Italy, Greece and Israel.
He pioneered digital market research in Italy and launched Duepuntozero Research, one of the first Social Media research agency in Europe in 2008.

Andrea d’Avack

Andrea d’Avack is Chief Sustainability Officer and President of the Fondation CHANEL. Andrea took on the roles in 2015 after nearly 30 years at Chanel, including 10 years as the global President of the Fragrance & Beauty business.

Philip Kastel

Philip is heading the mobility services team at Porsche AG. Within 16 years of profound experience in the automotive industry, he held various positions: from operational sales tasks to long term strategic initiatives. In this role, he also supported the strategic transformation to electric mobility and digitalization in Sales and Marketing at Porsche.

Josefin Liljeqvist

Josefin Liljeqvist is a Swedish artist, designer, and animal advocate. She is the CEO and artistic director of her eponymous brand JOSEFIN LILJEQVIST- an award-winning sustainable luxury brand working to highlight the importance of animal protection and the founder of Responsible Systems, an in-the-making global animal welfare infrastructure for fashion and food.

Elisabete Ramalho

Elisabete started her career transforming the marketing and sales operations of a multinational manufacturing company in Portugal. She joined Google in 2007, having built, grown and transformed business functions in Ireland, France and the USA.

Aude VERGNE

Aude is Sustainability director at Chloé, leading the Maison’s transition towards becoming a purpose driven organisation. As member of the Leadership Committee and Licenses Director, she has been championing sustainability practices within all operations ever since she joined Chloé in 2016.

Frédéric Dalsace

Frédéric Dalsace is a Professor of Marketing and Strategy at IMD. Frédéric accumulated more than 10 years of experience in the business world, both with industrial companies (Michelin and CarnaudMetalbox), and as a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company.

Vanina Faber

Vanina Farber is an economist and political scientist specializing on social innovation, entrepreneurship and corporate social responsibility, with also almost twenty years of teaching, researching and consultancy experience, working with academic institutions, multinational corporations and international organizations.

Katharina Lange

Katharina joined IMD as Professor of Leadership in September 2019. She has taught executives globally, specializing in self-leadership and cross-cultural team leadership in times of Change. Before joining IMD, Katharina led the Office of Executive Development at Singapore Management University (SMU).
