The IMD–Egon Zehnder Board Summit is a three day gathering for chairs and board members of leading companies. Carefully curated, it creates the conditions for high-level exchange among peers who know what it takes to lead at board level.
Developed jointly by IMD and Egon Zehnder, every edition is built around the specific challenges and priorities of its participants. Through in-depth conversations ahead of the Summit, the agenda is shaped to ensure discussions are both relevant and actionable, covering topics such as geopolitics, technological innovation and AI, stakeholder pressure, succession management, and board effectiveness.
Participants engage with leading IMD faculty, senior partners from Egon Zehnder, selected guest speakers, and a Chairs’ Circle of accomplished chairs from major global companies, bringing together governance research and practical board expertise.

The Summit brings together a carefully selected group of faculty and guest speakers, combining academic expertise with deep boardroom experience. Additional contributors will be confirmed as the program takes shape around participants’ priorities.
The Chairs’ Circle brings together a select group of incumbent chairs from major global companies. Actively involved in shaping the curriculum and contributing throughout the Summit, they ensure every discussion is grounded in current boardroom reality.
