As the crisis team works to ascertain the flow of components from Japanese suppliers, the limits of an arm’s-length relationship with suppliers become apparent as unexpected problems arise with second- and third-tier suppliers. Unfolding events create unexpected consequences that affect share price placing an even greater responsibility on the crisis team.
