Double Hull Tankers, Inc. commenced operations in October 2005 with a singular focus on the transportation of crude oil, DHTs strategy was to take advantage of the stable cash flow associated with chartering vessels on long-term contracts. CEO Ole Jacob Diesen needed to assess how best to grow earnings and provide funds for future debt amortization while maintaining a dividend at a time of high market volatility.
