The 2017 IMD MBA class inaugurates legacy bench on campus

MBA team collaboration with startup leads to new campus landmark
December 2017

As part of their year-long program, a group of IMD MBAs provided consulting to moveArt, a Swiss sustainable and ecological company that creates functional sculptures, on their business model and practices.

Following their collaboration, the MBA team decided to team up with the wider class and donate a legacy bench to adorn IMD’s campus to commemorate their once-in-a-lifetime experience in the MBA program.

The bench is made from highly resistant Accoya wood, which has minimum lifetime of 50 years in an outdoor area.

At the inauguration ceremony, MBA participant Patricia Nyberg who led the initiative to bring the bench to campus, thanked the entire class as well as MBA Program Director Ralf Boscheck for their contributions to making it happen.

The bench will include a plaque with the names of all of the contributors and each of the members of the IMD MBA class of 2017.
