The Women Leadership program delivered jointly by MIM and IMD has received the AMBA award for Best Program of 2025 in the Culture and Diversity category. The award was presented at the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards 2026, one of the leading global events in business education.
The Best Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion Initiative award recognizes business schools that incorporate and develop culture, diversity, and inclusion practices.
The awarded program is a collaboration between MIM Kyiv and IMD. Initiated and funded by the Lundin Chair endowment at IMD. It aims to equip Ukrainian women with advanced leadership skills to run organizations and companies in Ukraine, with a particular focus on reconstruction.
“I truly value this collaboration and have been very impressed by the meaningful impact the participants have created. My warmest congratulations to MIM Kyiv,” said Knut Haanaes, Professor and Lundin Chair at IMD.
In December 2025, 106 Ukrainian women graduated from the program’s second cohort during a ceremony in Kyiv.
“I am deeply grateful to AMBA for this recognition. It underscores the global importance of investing in women’s leadership, which is especially meaningful for Ukraine, where the war has profoundly changed social and demographic realities. With many men serving in the armed forces, women are increasingly taking on leadership roles in business, public life, and communities,” said Iryna Tykhomyrova, President of MIM Business School.
“This program is very close to our hearts and would not be possible without the invaluable support of our trusted partners –IMD and the Lundin Sustainability Chair, whose commitment, intellectual generosity, and shared values have helped us create a space for thoughtful, human-centered leadership. This award reminds us that the future of leadership is deeply human and founded on care, dignity, mutual support, and the courage to take responsibility for one another in times of uncertainty.”
These awards celebrate business schools, students, graduates, and leaders who embody the core values of the AMBA & BGA networks.
The Association of MBAs (AMBA) is a leading global authority on postgraduate management education quality assurance, while the Business Graduates Association (BGA) represents a growing international network of impactful business schools committed to responsible management education.
