IMD reaccredited by the Association of MBAs

The accreditation panel highlighted IMD’s exceptional links to the corporate world and focus on leadership and coaching.

IMD has officially received re-accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities on post-graduate business education, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to delivering the highest levels of excellence in MBA and EMBA management education.

The re-accreditation means IMD has sustained its premier “triple-crown” of AMBA, European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) EQUIS and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditations.

Under AMBA’s rigorous assessment criteria, only the highest-caliber programs which demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student engagement are accredited.

“I am delighted to congratulate IMD for this re-accreditation. IMD is a prestigious institution and therefore it is fitting for it to be part of our network of the top 2% of Business Schools worldwide,” said Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of the Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association.

Members of AMBA’s accreditation panel, representing senior management at AMBA-accredited business schools globally, commended IMD’s exceptional links to the corporate world, as well as its clear focus on leadership and coaching, which alumni highlighted as having been instrumental in their learning experience and future careers.

Another aspect which was seen to be appreciated by students was the high-touch admission process, which allows IMD to apply more holistic admission requirements than other business schools.

The panel also noted that there was a high level of student satisfaction with all aspects of the IMD experience – the most common feedback given to the panel was that students wanted more of everything.

“Kudos to all the involved in our MBA and EMBA programs, especially our world-class faculty and our talented students and alumni who everyday strive toward IMD’s purpose of challenging what is and inspiring what could be,” said IMD President Jean-François Manzoni.
