|Speaker(s)||Ignacio Barandiaran, Principal, Advisory Services, Arup|
In this talk, Ignacio Barandiaran (UC Berkeley MBA 2006) will provide a perspective on how government and the private sector can drive investment in economic infrastructure to solve the pressing needs of today. Advanced economies face a tsunami of needed infrastructure investment for renewal of aging infrastructure providing essential services, implementation of technologies such as broadband, and decarbonization and resiliency to fight climate change. Delivery of these massive needs is constrained by public sector budgets that are increasingly dedicated to other priorities, including the current Covid-19 pandemic. New approaches show the way forward to overcome these barriers, accelerate investment, and meet these needs.
