The Stanford Technology Outlook 2017
The Stanford Technology outlook brings together thought leaders, experts and top executives to share their perspectives on some of the most important technology trends and how they impact our lives, society and economy.
This year we will take a closer look at “OTT” players like Facebook and Netflix that offer their digital services "Over The Top" of the Telecom operators' networks.
The social media and networking platform Facebook has fundamentally changed the way we share our lives and we keep in touch. Netflix brings us unique film and series content whenever we want it and where we want it through video streaming. What type of products and media services can we further expect from them in the future? How do they intend to continue disrupting the traditional media and advertising markets?
Liberty and Proximus provide the high-speed networks to enjoy those Facebook and Netflix services. Do they consider those new digital players as a growth opportunity (e.g. resulting in more mobile data consumption) or rather as a threat (e.g. cannibalizing their own digital TV content)?
Please join us for this great evening with an exceptional set of speakers and program:
