|Speaker(s)||Arturo Bris, Professor of Finance, IMD Director of IMD World Competitiveness Center|
Technology will replace jobs, but technology will not necessarily create new jobs. In response, society is redefining the concept of a “job”. Today, a job is a productive activity which, potentially, provides self-fulfilment. In the future, most jobs will not be productive, in the “bullshit job” sense, but give individual satisfaction. The main question for societies is, therefore, how do we sustain people’s living conditions.
