Mark Greeven - Professor of Innovation & Strategy

Mark is a Chinese speaking Dutch professor of innovation with 15 years of first-hand experience in China. He has lived in Hangzhou and Shanghai for over 15 years and worked at and is still affiliated to China’s leading National Institute for Innovation Management at Zhejiang University, a top 3 university in China. He has been collaborating with innovative Chinese companies and entrepreneurial multinationals. Mark is author of numerous case studies on Chinese companies such as Alibaba, Ping An, XCMG, Xiaomi and Haier, many of which appear in his two books: Pioneers, Hidden Champions, Changemakers, and Underdogs (MIT Press, 2019) and Business Ecosystems in China (Routledge, 2017).

Patrick Reinmoeller - Professor of Strategy & Innovation
Patrick is a Japanese speaking professor of strategy and innovation. He worked for many years in Japan at Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo and the Japan Advanced Institute of Technology, Kanazawa. He was visiting professor at ICS-HUB, Japan’s top business school (QS 2019), in Tokyo, where he spent summers and winters before Covid-19. His teaching, research, and consulting focus on strategic leadership and innovation. For many years he wrote for magazines for in Japanese language. He published case studies on Asian companies with Harvard and Hitotsubashi and a leading textbook Strategic Management: Competitiveness and Globalization.
