I decided to change industries from banking and needed a stepping stone to find a new job. IMD was a clear first choice for me. I wanted to study in Europe and be at a school that focuses on leadership and entrepreneurship. The class of 90 students makes lectures intimate and allows for a personal relationship with the professors.
What wasyour favorite MBA Course and what was the biggest insight you gained about business from it?
The course that has had the greatest impact on me is leadership. It opened my eyes to see how much there is to learn about yourself and the effect your behaviour can have on other people.

To have the opportunity to learn from skilled and motivated people – not only professors but also fellow students, alumni and industry specialists, although I discovered that it’s adifferent learning experience at a mature age and after some years of working.
Which academic or extracurricular achievement at IMD are you most proud of?
I’m currently working on a 3 month project in entrepreneurship together with 5 classmates where we help develop a start-up. It’s so rewarding to work hands on and see the results of your efforts. Working with someone who is passionate about what they do is just invaluable.
What is your best piece advice to an applicant hoping to get into the MBA program
Be genuine and honest about who you are and embrace it. IMD is looking for more than what is on paper.
What is your ultimate long-term professional goal?
To be a leader and role model who makes an impact and leads by example.
