Abstract thinking: how artworks can sharpen decision-making

Peter Lorange explains how works of art support his decision-making process and can also help new businesses thrive.

Art is connected to so much more than the specific discipline of creating art. Of course, art and science have been interlinked for a long time: look no further than Leonardo. As for the business of art, historians claim that artwork sales through dealers started in the 16th century. While art as an investment is now well-established, I do not know of any art collectors, aside from me, who have attempted to link art directly to their business decisions.

Why do I believe art has this role to play for business leaders? How do I navigate the link between art and decision-making? If art can contribute to better business decisions, can it also play a supporting role in other business areas, such as startup development?
