Reson A/S, a Danish company specialized in underwater acoustics and ultrasonics, needs to rethink how they manage new product development. Reson’s R&D is working with proprietary basic technologies with development times up to three years. In order to realize the global growth potential existing for the company, Reson’s management must expand their customer base, rethink how to apply their proprietary technologies in innovative ways, and to bring new customer-specific solutions fast to market. All focus in project management is put on time, i.e. meeting the deadlines set for the projects. This sets completely new requirements for project planning and also for co-operation in the company.
