On Tuesday, Uber’s CEO, Travis Kalanick, announced that he is hiring his #2. In a terse statement that appeared on the Uber blog, the CEO said he is “actively looking for a Chief Operating Officer” (COO). Kalanick’s brevity was a sharp contrast, not only in content but also in form, to Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, who habitually elucidates his thoughts in long form—his latest digital manifesto was a 5,600-word status update posted on his Facebook account.
