Current and former IMD faculty shine in best-selling case lists

The Case Centre has named several IMD professors in its 2022 bestselling case lists, underlining the Institute’s global reputation for excellence in researching these valuable teaching tools.
January 2023

Four current IMD professors and one former faculty member feature in the annual charts, which give details of the top 15 most popular cases across 10 subject categories, from strategy and marketing to entrepreneurship and ethics. This year’s list covers the work of more than 250 authors from 42 institutions in 14 countries.

The most in-demand cases in 2022 include research by Professor Emeritus of Marketing and Global Strategy Kamran Kashani, Professor of Strategy and Marketing Stefan Michel, Emeritus Professor of Marketing Strategy Dominique Turpin, Adjunct Professor of Leadership and Sustainability Francisco Szekely, and former IMD Professor Sandra Vandermerwe.

Three of Kamran Kashani’s cases were cited on The Case Center’s 2023 classic cases list. These are cases that are over 10 years old, and the lists are based on the number of individual organizations ordering and teaching the case over the last five years.

One case by Carlos Cordon, Professor of Strategy and Supply Chain Management, and Ralf Seifert, Professor of Operations was also named a classic, as was one by Peter Killing, Professor Emeritus of Strategy, and one by former IMD Professor Stewart Hamilton.
