Jouko Karvinen is Chairman of the Supervisory Board for Finnair Plc..

Prior to becoming Chairman, Jouko was Vice Chairman of Finnair from 2016 to 2017. Previously, he was a member of the international advisory board of Komatsu Corporation from 2016 to 2019 and of the Supervisory Board of Valmet from 2016 to 2018, serving on the Compensation Committee. Prior to that, he was at Nokia, where he served as Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board from 2013 to 2016, Chairman of the Audit Committee from 2012 to 2016, Chairman of the Nomination and Governance Committee from 2013 to 2014, and a board member from 2011 to 2016.

In addition, Jouko was a member of the Supervisory Board of SKF from 2010 to 2016. He was CEO of Stora Enso Oyj from 2007 to 2014, and CEO of Philips Medical Systems Division from 2002 to 2006. He was a member of Board of Management of Royal Philips Electronics in 2006 and Group Management Committee from 2002 to 2006. Earlier in his career, Jouko held executive and managerial positions at ABB Group Limited, including Executive Vice President, Head of Automation Technology Products Division and Member of the Group Executive Committee.

Jouko holds a Master of Science from Tampere University of Technology.
