IMD’s EMBAs mark the end of an intense and rewarding learning journey

Graduation ceremony to celebrate a unique cohort’s experience
May 2018

This Friday IMD’s June 2018 EMBA cohort will commemorate the end of one chapter of their journey and the beginning of another with an elegant graduation ceremony at the Beau-Rivage Hotel in IMD’s home–Lausanne, Switzerland.

Joined by family, friends and IMD colleagues who accompanied them along the way, the 56 accomplished executives with 27 nationalities who represent 26 industries, will receive their diplomas and hear key note speeches from IMD Professor and Dean of the Program Stefan Michel as well as the class’s valedictorian.

The program was rewarding and also trying at times. Some of the highlights included analyzing and writing practical case studies as well as in-class and out-of-class experiential learning. The final module was a two-day intense real-world crisis management simulation run in cooperation with the Swiss Armed Forces.

The EMBAs travelled around the world to learn about global business contexts, companies and industries. The class experienced discovery expeditions to China, India, Kenya, Silicon Valley, Vietnam and Brazil.

They not only take away business learnings but new knowledge of themselves as people and friends who they will stay in touch with for many years to come.

IMD warmly congratulates and wishes the best to all the graduates.
