Conference « UBS-Credit Suisse: The Future of Swiss Banking », Pr. Arturo Bris
We will begin the conference with Prof. Arturo Bris, who will provide his insights on the pros and cons of the limited options available at the time of the merger, drawing very interesting comparisons to other examples of “bank distress”, as well as its potential future implications. Following this, Mr. Schuyler Weiss, Chief Executive Officer at Alpian, will discuss the role of innovation in the Swiss financial system, and share his vision for Alpian as a pioneering force in Swiss digital private banking. Please join us as we explore these complexities, discuss the future of Swiss banking, and envision a resilient financial system.

Round table “Reputation risks and the critical role of the Board” 3/11 6pm
As Warren Buffett once said, “It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it.”
According to recent research[1,2] reputation represents more than 20% of the company value. Reputation risk has become the number one strategic business risk in our VUCA world (cyberattacks, product recalls, and damaging social media posts etc.) => Therefore Boards must actively oversee it as part of their mandate
Our panel will share their experience in preventing and managing reputation risks; the role of the board and the one of the executives; concrete example and take aways to prevent and weather the storm.

Master classes (3-part) by Laura Penn “Activation into Leadership Speaking” 28/04, 2/06 and 16/06/2022
“Activation into Leadership Speaking”
with Dr. Laura Penn, Founder of The Leadership Speaking School
The ability to communicate effectively is a key trait of a Leader, because the role of leaders is to persuade, influence and inspire people, inside and outside of their organizations, to follow their vision. According to many surveys to top executives this is one of the most relevant skills for career promotion.
This highly interactive three-part Master Class will activate you to radically up-skill how you speak in front of audiences. Learning essential tools from the Leadership Speaking Toolbox, you will develop a bespoke repertory of communication skills, which will activate you into a speaker who is proficient in the language of “leadership speaking”. Whether talking to a live audience, in a virtual meeting, on a panel, in a job interview, this training activates you to show up as the best version of yourself every time you speak.
The three workshop sessions will focus on training different subject areas that are foundational for you to become a more impactful speaker. Therefore, participation in all sessions is highly encouraged.
Session 1: Authentic Presence and the Body Language of Leadership (April 28, 2022)
This first session will begin your journey into leadership speaking. We will start from the very beginning with “authentic presence”. What is it? How do you activate it and what choices can you make about it? Understanding authentic presence is about understanding that “you are responsible for the energy that you bring into the room”. It’s ground-zero for learning about self-awareness in leadership speaking. Interactive and dynamic, this first session will activate you into the power of The Leadership Speaking Toolbox. Come curious to learn more and come ready to participate!
Session 2: How to Speak so that People want to Listen (June 2, 2022)
This dynamic session is a perfect complement to the work that was started in Session 1 (Authentic Presence and the Body Language of Leadership). Going deeper into the Leadership Speaking Toolbox, you will discover how tension is the enemy of your voice and what you need to do to release it from your repertory. You will also learn about the wide and wonderful world of “prosody”, the patterns of stress and intonation in language. These powerful tools will activate you into the art of speaking so that people want to listen to what you have to say. Come prepared to move your body, to laugh out loud and to make meaningful connections.
Session 3: Conscious Connection and Audience Participation (June 16, 2022)
This last edition of the three-part series will focus on the cornerstone of effective leadership speaking: Conscious Connection. What does it take to purposefully connect with your audiences? How do you do it and what are the pitfalls and rewards? Through interactive participation and real-life speaking scenarios harvested from the group, you will leave this training feeling activated and empowered to use the powerful tools you have learned from the Leadership Speaking Toolbox. As ever, come ready to jump in at the deep end, to move your body and to relax and to enjoy yourself.
