Kwek Ping has more than twelve years of Private Equity investment experience in China. He founded Inventis with the first USD China-focused growth fund in 2001 and has since made more than thirty investments in different cities in China. He has also planned and executed many successful exits through trade-sales and pre-IPO transactions. The total capital under management is more than USD4bn.
Prior to Inventis, Kwek Ping founded an I.T. Systems integration company that was later merged and listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchanges in Finland in 1999.
Widely recognised as one of the pioneers in Private Equity investment in China and for his track records, Kwek Ping is frequently invited to speak at major investment and business conferences globally.
Kwek Ping is the author of Private Equity in China: Challenges and Opportunities (Wiley Finance, 2012) and Due Diligence in China: Beyond the Checklists (Wiley Corporate F&A, 2013).

Before joining Siemens, David held various leadership roles at Huntsman and Ciba, two multinational players in the specialty chemicals industry, where he was driving projects to expand and optimize global operations and manufacturing footprint.
David holds an MBA from IMD Business School and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague. During the past eleven years, David has lived and worked in six different countries on three continents, including four and half years in China. He speaks five languages: Czech, English, German, Mandarin and Spanish.

Xiyun (Philippe) Bu is a Consultant in L.E.K.’s Shanghai office. He has extensive experiences in providing strategic advisory to corporates, mainly covering retail, consumer and industrial goods sectors. He has six years of sales and marketing management experience and three years of consulting experience.
Prior to joining L.E.K., he was Senior Strategy Consultant in leading branding consulting agency, Interbrand, providing branding and marketing service to variety companies. Xiyun also has intensive corporate marketing and sales experience in consumer goods sector, as he worked with BiC and Wrigley’s in China and in Singapore.
Besides the work, Xiyun also contributes to the society. He has worked with pro-bono consulting NGO, ABC (A Better Community), in Shanghai since returned back from Switzerland in 2014 and is now the head of Shanghai project department. He led team to help more than 10 NGOs in 2015.
Xiyun graduated from IMD MBA program in 2013, and he received the bachelor degree from Zhejiang University in 2006.
