In May 2012, more than 30 participants gathered at a Discovery Event to share IMD’s latest research and perspectives on doing business in China. Participants included representatives from a variety of industries, ranging from finance to pharmaceutical, and a number of companies, ranging from small businesses just entering the Chinese market to multinationals with years of experience and thousands of employees. The event highlighted the opportunities and challenges of doing business in the dynamic setting of China and the associated social-politicaleconomic complexities, and concluded with an insightful discussion on the “ins and outs” of working with Chinese counterparts.
